Skin care is important to your health for several reasons. Firstly, the skin is the body's largest organ and acts as a protective barrier against external pollutants, harmful UV radiation, and infections. Secondly, a proper skin care routine helps to keep the skin hydrated and nourished, which can prevent dryness, flakiness, and itching. Thirdly, regular skin care can help to prevent premature aging and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Lastly, skin care can also help to identify any changes in the skin, such as moles or rashes, that may require medical attention.

Our dermatologists at PS dermatology and surgery have years of experience in treating a wide range of skin conditions and use the latest technology and techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes. They are compassionate and attentive, taking the time to listen to their patients' concerns and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. They also prioritize patient education, providing guidance on how to maintain healthy skin and prevent future skin problems. With our dermatologists, you can trust that you are in the best hands for all your skin care needs.

At PS Dermatology and Surgery, we work together to come up with a personalized treatment plan to address the concern at hand. Our dermatologists will have a thorough one-on-one consultation with each cosmetic patient to assess their skin type, concerns, and goals. After consultation, the treatment plan may include a personalized skin care regimen, as well as a combination of various minimal techniques including Botox®, fillers, chemical peels, and lasers. By creating a customized treatment plan, patients can achieve natural-looking and long-lasting results that are tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Skin cancer surveillance is important because skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the world, and early detection is crucial for effective treatment and a positive outcome. Patients who are at higher risk for skin cancer, such as those with fair skin, a history of sunburns, or a family history of skin cancer, should be especially vigilant about surveillance. Regular skin checks can help detect skin cancer early, allowing for prompt treatment and better chances of survival. By adopting sun protection measures, such as wearing protective clothing and sunscreen, avoiding peak sun hours, and staying in the shade, people can significantly lower their risk of skin cancer.

The treatment options for skin cancer depend on various factors, such as the type and stage of the cancer, its location, and the patient's overall health. The primary treatment for most skin cancers is surgery under local anesthesia with the patient awake and comfortable in our clinic at 245 Union Ave, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Other options that may be appropriate in the right candidate include topical treatments, cryotherapy, electro-destruction, radiation therapy, or systemic medications. Ultimately, the optimal treatment depends on the individual patient at hand, not the cancer that just happens to grow on the patient.
